Cul-de-sac House

Within a suburban setting of North Invercargill this three bedroom home presents itself to the Cul-De-Sac before turning its back to create privacy and security as it orientates itself to maximise the north and north west aspects of the site.
The material palette was honest and presents itself well through the finished Midland black clay bricks, offset by the contrast of vertical lines of James Hardie Oblique and warmed via the natural finish of cedar weatherboards.

Light and warmth rung through in the clients brief and with this all habitable spaces were designed to capture the northern aspect and look out onto a central outdoor area, which was also reflected on the internal finishes.

A bespoke underfloor heating system was adopted which became, not only a passion, but a project for the client and is a true reflection of what it meant to the.
